Whether you want to be a professional online blackjack gambler or simply stick to being a weekend online player you must always stay within your budget. It is far too easy to let the gambling bug get into your blood. This has been the downfall of many aspiring professional online gamblers. Remain conservative. Play the middle of the road and you can never go wrong. But when the inspiration hits you - go for it and make it count.

Without a doubt Blackjack is the most popular of all the games that are played in online casinos. This is most likely due to the fact that if you play perfectly, or if Lady Luck is on your side (just a bit) your odds are nearly even with the casino. This makes is possible, and if you are very good to play and win and win and win.

The best way to play Blackjack is always a matter choosing the right strategy card best used within the rules of the game. Cards are marked by their color and there are six types to choose from:

1) Hit
2) Stand
3) If allowed, Double down, if not Hit
4) If allowed, Double down, otherwise Stand
5) If allowed, Split, otherwise Play
6) If allowed, Surrender, otherwise Hit

Statisticians have developed some practices to reduce the natural advantage of the house in Blackjack. The basic principal is: a player, when favorable, should double down or split. The winnings are 3:2 for blackjack, for the Player. However, the Dealer does not have these same choices and must adhere to the rule of “stand on 17 or more”. Additionally, the dealer is not allowed to double down or split. No matter what, the dealer is always paid only 1:1 for blackjack. As a player, this is one of your most important advantages.
